An excellent article that explores what the exact differences are between Beyonce, Kim and Trina (if any).  In conclusion, Belle finds that when you look at the lyrics, costumes, videos they each really are the same, yet Beyonce just gets away with it.

Outside of the skin complexion issue, that can not be overlooked, the other names you mentioned are rappers, while Bey is a pop singer.  Pop singers are given a pass for their overt sexuality (Gaga, Bey, Christina, Brittany, etc) but Rappers, especially the Female Rapper, isn’t given that pass.  It is a larger commentary on where we are as a society, what we think women “can do” and our perception of rap and the hip-hop culture.
